What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

On this site we use contact forms. We do this so that our customers and website users can contact us regarding all matters that they wish to discuss. We take information on a persons name, email address and sometimes we may even ask for their home address or telephone number.

What we do not do is take your information and pass it on to third parties. The information you provide us with is private and confidential and will not be sold on to anyone.

When using a contact form we urge that users put in correct details so that one of our staff can get in contact with you directly.

Who we share your data with

We do not share your data with third parties – ever! However if official authorities request information on you and have a warrant to do so with us, we will fully comply with them and their official bodies – remember that we are bound to report any illegal activities by law and to help reduce illegal activities in the world.

Please allow at least 30 working days for us to process these enquiries.

We reserve the right to share non specific personal data e.g. – “we had more female clients that male clients” or “most of our users were in countries like France or of European origin” to help our cause and with whom we choose to. NOTE: we never pass on specific personal details like name, email and contact details etc., ever!

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

Your contact information will never be sent to anyone without your prior consent or on request. Only our admin team deal with contact information and even they don’t keep a record of that beyond what you initially request when you sign up with us.

How we protect your data

We take precautions to ensure the protection of our site visitors data. We use our servers anti-virus programmes which are kept up to date by our hosts 24/7 and their dedicated teams. We also make sure that our site has all the up to date plugins and is cross browser compatible.

We would urge our users to do the same and to ensure that their browser is up to date and that they are deleting their cookies as of when they need to and that they are using an up to date trustworthy and reliable virus protection programme and a firewall.

What data breach procedures we have in place

Our servers are integrated with firewalls and anti-virus and anti-hackers software. Should data be breached we will be informed and our admin team will endeavour to make sure all customers are treated fairly and refunded should they need to be.

In the event this happens we would encourage out customers and users to be patient andd allow us plenty of time to deal with such an issue.

What third parties we receive data from

We do not receive specific and personal data from third parties – unless we have requested it and all parties involved have approved it.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

Our site uses various automated decision making and profiling elements throughout the site and its layout. We do this so that we can provide the site. Mostly those associated with normal website design and computer programming that the majority of major websites use to run their sites. We do not use automated decision making or profiling where possible.
